I am so happy about it cause I never thought that I will be able to achieve it this soon, I thought it will took me a year since getting a full time contract was really hard at first, good thing I was able to get one and now I have 3 full time contracts, wishing for more working hours.

And thanks oDesk for giving moms like me an opportunity to earn while staying at home with our kids.

My Life as a Freelancer

Posted by heavensent at 11:13 PM 0 comments
I've been working on Odesk as a Freelancer for over six months now and I can say that I am very happy that a friend who is also a freelancer told me and encouraged me to join. It was really hard to land a job at first, it took me weeks to finally had one and I even started on a very low rate but the good thing is after two months I finally had my first full time job, the rate is really not that big, but that is Ok.

As a stay at home mom, Odesk is really a big help to me, I never thought that I will be able to earn this way. As of now I have 3 ongoing contracts and I am happy to have it although sometimes I think that I don't have much time for my daughter anymore but I try my best to make up with it over the weekends.

Others thought that being a freelancer is easy but they thought wrong, there are deadlines to meet, tasks to finish but what I love about being a freelancer is that I just stay home to do my job, no need to catch for the bus in the morning, rush home at night, experience the traffic, I hate those things.

So to all the freelancers like me, Cheers for more contracts and a brighter future.

just want to share with you my daughter's favorite food (aside from pasta) that I cooked this evening for dinner.

Ingredients:
1/4k. ground pork
3 pcs. small potatoes (cubed very small)
3-4 pcs. medium size eggs
tomato
onion
garlic
fish salt

Procedure:
1. Saute garlic, onion and tomato, put the ground pork, add some fish salt to taste.
2. When the ground pork is already brown add the potatoes.
3. When the ground pork and potatoes are already cooked put in a bowl and let it cool down for a while.
4. When already cold put the beaten egg. Mix well.
5. Preheat some oil then fry the mixture, not all at once but depends on the size that you want.

* I can usually make 4 pieces
* good for 3-4 persons

Yesterday we celebrated my grandmother's 88th birthday, she had lots of fun because she had a chance to see some relatives that she haven't seen for awhile..

The day before that my aunt came to give her a haircut and color her hair, my mom colored her nails *PINK* cool right?

I am so happy for her.
